E-Clipse Sustainable House Boats

The Future of Sustainable Waterfront Living

As the global marine industry shifts toward cleaner and smarter technologies, the demand for sustainable waterfront living has never been greater. The E-Clipse House Boat range by Medasia Marine has been developed to meet this new generation of lifestyle demand — combining modern luxury, solar-electric propulsion, and intelligent off-grid living into one revolutionary floating platform.

Designed and built in the UAE, the E-Clipse range represents a new approach to life on the water. More than just a houseboat, the concept blends the comfort of a waterfront villa with the efficiency and sustainability of advanced marine engineering. With models ranging from approximately 10m to 22m, including wide-body configurations, the E-Clipse range has been created for marina living, eco-resorts, hospitality operations, private retreats, and long-term floating accommodation.

Designed for Off-Grid Living

At the core of the E-Clipse concept is energy independence. The vessels feature integrated solar panels and photovoltaic glass designed to maximise renewable energy generation onboard. Combined with electric propulsion systems and high-capacity battery storage, the houseboats are capable of operating in near silence with no fumes or vibration.

The flagship 17m model incorporates approximately 66 square metres of solar collection area and advanced battery systems designed to support extended off-grid operation. Optional hydrogen fuel cell technology further extends range and energy autonomy, creating one of the most forward-thinking sustainable floating platforms currently available in the market.

Sustainable Construction with Long-Term Durability

Unlike many conventional floating structures, the E-Clipse range utilises HDPE hull technology — a fully recyclable material chosen for its durability, low maintenance requirements, and environmental compatibility. Medasia Marine states that the hulls are engineered with a projected lifespan backed by long-term structural warranty coverage, helping reduce lifecycle costs while supporting a more sustainable marine industry.

The modular engineering approach also allows the vessels to be shipped globally in containerised sections and assembled on site, opening opportunities for remote resorts, waterfront developments, and eco-tourism destinations worldwide.

Luxury Waterfront Living Reimagined

The E-Clipse range has been designed with contemporary living in mind. Large panoramic glazing, open-plan interiors, rooftop terraces, and flexible cabin layouts create a modern floating living environment that feels closer to a luxury waterfront apartment than a traditional boat.

The larger models feature expansive upper terraces and private owner spaces, while interiors combine minimalist styling with eco-conscious materials and integrated smart systems. Lighting, air conditioning, and onboard power management are all designed to optimise efficiency without compromising comfort.

A Growing Market for Sustainable Floating Spaces

As waterfront cities continue to evolve, floating living concepts are rapidly gaining attention as an alternative to traditional coastal development. Solar-electric houseboats offer flexibility, mobility, and reduced environmental impact compared with conventional waterfront construction.

Globally, electric and solar-powered marine technologies are seeing increasing adoption due to lower operating costs, reduced emissions, and quieter operation.   The E-Clipse range positions itself at the forefront of this movement by combining renewable energy systems with practical luxury living solutions.

Built in the UAE with a Global Vision

Developed by Medasia Marine in Abu Dhabi, the E-Clipse House Boat range reflects the UAE’s growing role in sustainable marine innovation. From private floating villas and hospitality concepts to eco-resorts and marina communities, the range has been created with international deployment in mind.

As demand grows for cleaner, smarter, and more flexible ways to live and travel on the water, the E-Clipse range demonstrates how modern technology and sustainable design can come together to redefine the future of marine living.
